Scholarships

The Utah Academy of Family Physicians provides two $1000 scholarships to the AAFP National Conference of Special Constituencies (NCSC) for two UAFP members annually.  In order to qualify for this scholarship the UAFP member must be attending the NCSC event and complete the NCSC Scholarship Application.

The two scholarships are available to the following member categories: women, minorities, new physician*, international medical graduate, or GLBT** (gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender.)

*A new physician is a physician in their first seven years of practice following residency completion. 

**GLBT physicians are those that identify as GLBT or who are supportive of GLBT issues.

The NCSC Conference is held annually each spring in conjunction with the AAFP Annual Leadership Forum Meeting (ALF).
