On August 28, 2014, a member of the Utah Health Care Reform Task Force suggested that a good solution to dealing with Utah’s uninsured population was to continue to encourage the use of the charity care system for primary care, but to secure insurance reimbursement for those patients when they need care from a subspecialist.  The insinuation here being that family medicine doctors do not need to be paid for the care they provide, but subspecialists that they refer their patients to, do deserve compensation.  Listen to the recording of the live meeting HERE
