DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\nTHRIVING IN UNCERTAINTY: Meeting Women Where They Are in Every Life Stage   \nDate: Thursday, May 14, 2026  \nVenue: Moran Eye Center – 1st Floor Auditorium and Atrium \nThere is no fee to attend.  \nThis year’s symposium will convene researchers, clinicians, educators, and students to examine how biological sex and lived experience shape health outcomes for women at every life stage. We will highlight research, innovative scholarship and initiatives that address sex differences and the complex factors influencing women’s health.  \nFeatured Morning Session: Sex as a Biological Variable in Research  \nThis session focuses on the scientific, methodological, and translational implications of integrating sex as a biological variable across research domains.  \nOur morning keynote speaker is:  \nJennifer C. Sullivan, PhD, FAHA, Dean of the Graduate School, Regents Professor of Physiology, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University \nThe afternoon clinical session tackles controversial topics that are affecting women’s health across the lifespan. \nFeaturing keynote speaker: C. Noel Bairey Merz, MD, Director, Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center, Preventive Cardiac Center Professor of Medicine, Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to connect with colleagues across disciplines, foster new collaborations, and advance critical conversations that strengthen women’s health research, education, and practice.  \n\nPlease REGISTER HERE.   Registration is required for all attendees, even those planning to attend only part of the program.  \nPOSTER SESSION  \nWe are pleased to announce a Call for Abstracts (due March 23) and welcome submissions representing all domains of health, including: Emotional, Environmental, Financial, Intellectual, Physical, Social, and Spiritual.\n \nPlease share this call with your colleagues and students whose work aligns with these areas, and the theme of the symposium. We look forward to a diverse and thought-provoking range of submissions.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n
