The Public Health Crisis of Racism: Special Virtual Town Hall
The focus of this special event(youtu.be) is to help members understand how racial trauma impacts patient health and what they can do to address that for themselves and patients. Minnesota AFP CEO Maria Huntley, CAE, MAM and Minnesota AFP President Renee Crichlow, MD, will be among those serving on the Town Hall’s panel. Other panel members will include AAFP President Gary LeRoy, MD, FAAFP, AAFP Health Equity Fellow Kristina Johnson, MD, and Danielle Jones who serves as the director of the AAFP Center for Diversity and Health Equity.

- Communicate the association between racism and health outcomes.
- Implement practice skills that identify and address racial trauma in the clinical setting.
- Engage with stakeholders to advance strategies that advance racial equity in the community.
