Practice: I practice in an Urgent Care setting with CareNow at various locations in the Salt Lake Metro Area. I also practice telemedicine on my spare time through my own business.

A bit about Dr. Montes: I grew up in Toluca/Mexico City area. Completed high school in Laredo, Texas and graduated Salutatorian. Went to Baylor University and graduated with Honors majoring in Biochemistry. Went to medical school at University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed training at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine with induction in the Sigma Sigma Phi Honors Osteopathic Society. Completed Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Resideny in Miami, Florida. I have a gorgeous Polish wife, Bozena Montes, who is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse certified in Adult Gerontology and Critical Care Internal Medicine currently working in Addiction Medicine. We love to travel as a family to National Parks, Eastern Europe, Mexico, and Canada. We have a handsome son, Rowan Montes, who is a 9th grader at American Prep Academy taking Honors and Concurrent Enrollment Courses with Utah State University. We also have a Husky dog, Cielo, and a Russian Blue Short Hair cat, Yana. We love the great outdoors as a family and I love to fly as a private pilot.
What keeps you passionate about family medicine? Providing holistic medical care for the entire family and seeing the entire family and children grow healthy and become productive citizens keeps me passionate about Family Medicine.
What do you wish you’d known when graduating from med school? I wish I knew about the business aspect of medicine as far as coding and billing as well as negotiating employment contracts.
Where will we find you on your day off? On my day off, I will be at a bookstore, coffee shop, or park enjoying nature.
