Black Desert Resort - NEW INFO AS OF 9/4/25

We have a limited amount of single king bed rooms (sleeps up to 2) available at the Black Desert Resort for $229 per night (not including taxes and resort fees) and double queen rooms with a kitchen (sleeps up to 6) for $349 (not including taxes and fees) per night. These rooms will go very quickly.

Golf at the Black Desert Resort

UAFP has secured 24 tee times on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 for conference attendees. Learn more about the course here.

You will register to golf when you register for the conference.

The price per person is $295. You can register for yourself and up to one guest. Tee time is based on registration (first-come, first served) and will be between 11:30am - 12:30pm on Saturday, November 8. Club rentals are available for $90 per set and you can reserve them when you register to golf.

PLEASE NOTE: Club rental is NOT included in the golf fee and you will be required to pay for the clubs at the resort.

Golf Groupings: You will be paired with other golfers to create groups of four. If you know in advance other physicians will be registering to golf and would like to be grouped together, please indicate that in the comment box with the golf registration. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.

Southern Utah Blues Festival – This annual event held at Tuacahn Amphitheatre will be held on Saturday, November 8. Information and tickets can be found here.

Zion National Park – The second most-visited National Park in the U.S., Zion National Park is a short 30-minute drive from St. George. Due to the popularity of this national and state treasure, you’ll want to read up on traffic, fees, and permits that might be needed for your visit.

Snow Canyon – The Black Desert Resort is located near the mouth of Snow Canyon, a gorgeous State Park that doesn’t have the traffic of Zion National Park, but plenty of hiking options for all skill levels.

Red Cliffs Desert Reserve – Snow Canyon is part of this large National Conservation Area with plenty of hiking, camping, and rock climbing options.

Parks, Art Galleries, Historic Sites, Landmarks, Museums, and Shopping – The Greater Zion tourism site contains a plethora of ideas for planning your trip whatever your interests are.
