Residency Leadership Award Winner
We know that Utah is home to some truly outstanding family medicine residents and we want to recognize those who are exceptional leaders. Each year in the spring, UAFP awards a current third-year resident from one of our four family medicine residencies in Utah the Resident Leadership Award. Congrats to the 2024 winner, Dr. Erica Veazey from St. Mark's FM Residency!
Student Loan Repayment Programs
Doctors graduating from medical school can be saddled with several thousand dollars in student loan debt which can take several years - or decades - to pay off. There are several service-based programs that can help new physicians pay off a portion of or refinance their debt.

UAFP Student & Resident Representatives
Utah is home to two medical schools and four family medicine residencies. The UAFP Student & Resident Representatives come from each medical school's family medicine interest group and each family medicine residency. One representative chosen by their respective organization also serves as a non-voting member of the UAFP Board of Directors.
