10/1/20 - Over the past six years, “CME & Ski” has become one of UAFP’s signature events. Since its inception in 2015, we have had hundreds of speakers and attendees join us from around the county to learn, ski, network, and enjoy the fantastic amenities Utah has to offer. We were so fortunate to be able to host our 2020 event at the end of February before lockdowns and travel restrictions began.

In the early months of the pandemic, we at UAFP hoped that we might be able to again host this in-person educational event in February 2021. But as cases spiked in Utah and across the country over the summer, we realized that trying to plan an event that brings guests from up to 25 different states in the middle of cold and flu season and a pandemic is just not advisable.

While we are sad to let this event go for 2021, we know it is the best decision for the health and safety of our guests, speakers, and staff. We also hope that we will be able to invite our members and other physicians and primary care providers from around the country back to Park City to learn, network, and ski again in 2022!

UAFP’s CME Offerings in 2020 and 2021

Until we can meet again in-person, UAFP is going to offer several smaller virtual CME events over the next year. We already have two scheduled:

  • Women’s Health – Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 8:00 AM to 1:15 PM (learn more and register here)
  • KSA on Health Behaviors – Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (registration opening soon)

UAFP will also offer an additional half-day CME event (topic TBA) and a full-day CME on Implicit Bias in Medicine in the Spring of 2021.

Registration is now open for our Women’s Health event and will be opening soon for our KSA in January.

As registration opens for each of these events, we will email you to make you aware of them. You can also check our website for event updates anytime.

February 20-23, 2020 marked another successful CME & Ski at the Westgate Resort in Park City, Utah. For the fifth year, UAFP hosted doctors from Utah and around the country to engage in educational topics such as fibromyalgia, sleep disorders, and sports medicine. It also included a pre-conference KSA on diabetes.

This CME conference is gaining some loyal attendees who come each year to learn from some of the best physicians in the country, who work and live right here in Utah. It doesn’t hurt that while they learn, attendees and their families are able to ski at a world-class resort and enjoy the many amenities of Park City.

UAFP is committed to continuing the CME & Ski as well as providing other CME opportunities for our members. We hope to resume this popular event in person as soon as we are able to safely do so.

Our plan at this time is to host this even in February 2022 in Park City for another weekend of fascinating topics, presenters who are experts in their fields, and the greatest snow on earth!
