Overview
Improve primary care pediatric knowledge of current updates in pediatrics with a special focus on issues facing young children with topics covering mental health, interventions to improve development and and provider interaction with parents.
Objectives
- Disseminate easy-to-use development resources for primary care providers.
- Review medication options when SSRIs don’t work for patients.
- Explain the implications of involvement with child welfare for children and youth.
- Describe how to help patients get services they need for treatment and educational success
- Discuss POTS and similar medical conditions
- Explain prevalence and diagnostics of common pediatric functional disorders
- Define and diagnose eating disrders in pediatric patients
- Explain the landscape of vaccine hesitancy across the country and in Utah
