Each year, UAFP offers scholarships to help offset the cost of attendance for residents to attend. More info coming in 2026.

Nominations for this award are accepted each spring from fellow residents, faculty, residency staff, and others who have first-hand knowledge of a resident's outstanding performance.

Student Loan Repayment Programs
Doctors graduating from medical school can be saddled with several thousand dollars in student loan debt which can take several years - or decades - to pay off. There are several service-based programs that can help new physicians pay off a portion of or refinance their debt.

UAFP Student & Resident Representatives
Utah is home to two medical schools and four family medicine residencies. The UAFP Student & Resident Representatives come from each medical school's family medicine interest group and each family medicine residency. One representative chosen by their respective organization also serves as a non-voting member of the UAFP Board of Directors.
