Improve primary care pediatric knowledge of current updates in pediatrics with a special focus on issues facing young children with topics covering mental health, interventions to improve development and providers interacting with parents.
- Disseminate easy-to-use development resources for primary care providers.
- Review mental health evaluation and care for young children.
- Review dental care for young children.
- Review risk factors for sudden unexplained infant death.
- Discuss access to local mental health resources.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Intermountain Health, Intermountain Children’s Health, Utah Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine .
