Call for Proposals
UAFP is seeking proposals for two upcoming conferences:
Southern Utah Family Medicine Conference (November 13 – 14, 2026 in St. George, Utah)
or CME & Ski (February 21-24, 2027 in Park City, Utah)
Physicians and Healthcare Professionals are invited to submit proposals for either of these educational events which are attended by practicing family physicians, advanced practice clinicians, residents, and medical students and serve to continue their medical education.

All submissions will go through a peer-reviewed process overseen by the UAFP CME Planning Committee.
Presentations for the conference should include 45-50 minutes of content and allow 5- 10 minutes for questions.
Physicians and Healthcare Professionals are invited to submit proposals for either of these educational event which are attended by practicing family physicians, advanced practice clinicians, residents, and medical students and serve to continue their medical education.
The audience will be made up primarily of family physicians and other primary care clinicians. The presentation should help them better screen and treat in office first and secondarily when to refer for specialty care.
While submissions in any topic area are welcome, we encourage submissions in these topic areas that are of particular interest to learners who have completed recent surveys:
- Liver and Kidney Disease in Primary Care (LFTs, MASLD, CKD)
- Cardiovascular Care (hypertension, heart failure, stroke/TIA)
- Diabetes and Metabolic Health
- Musculoskeletal and Pain Management (back pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, imaging)
- Bone Health and Osteoporosis
- Women’s Health (perimenopause, PCOS, pelvic pain, infertility)
- Men’s Health (prostate health, testosterone therapy)
- Behavioral Health and Neurology (depression, anxiety, headache, dizziness, sleep)
- Dermatology in Primary Care (pruritus, rashes, hair and nail disorders)
- Pediatric and Adolescent Care (sports injuries, pediatric pearls, rashes in kids)
- Addiction Medicine and Substance Use (addiction pearls, cannabis counseling)
- Geriatric Care (polypharmacy, cognitive impairment, dementia screening)
- Preventive Care and Screening (USPSTF updates, cancer screening)
- Patient Communication and Health Literacy (medical misinformation, social media)

Presentation Design
- Which ACGME core competencies your presentation addresses (Patient Care, Medical Knowledge, Practice Based Learning and Improvement, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Professionalism, and/or Systems-Based Practice)
- Learner engagement methods you plan to use (e.g., Q&A, polling, case-based learning, small groups, etc.)
- At least 3 learning objectives, written in accordance with AAFP guidelines
Speaker Benefits
Those selected to present are eligible to receive the following:
- A $200 honorarium (if you are ineligible to receive an honorarium you may decline or you may choose to donate to the UAFP Foundation or other nonprofit of your choice)
- You may attend the conference at no cost the day you present. If you would like to attend the entire conference, you can do so at a 50% discount. A code will be provided to you if you select that option.
Please note that we are unable to provide travel costs or lodging at this time. However, if you choose to book a hotel room at either conference, you will be able to do so at our conference rate.
