Member of the Month – February: Brian Pratt

Practice: I work at the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Primary Care Clinic doing basic outpatient care.
Residency: My residency was in Janesville, WI at the Mercy Hospital and Clinics there.
A bit about Dr. Pratt:
I grew up in Clearfield, UT. Went to Clearfield High School. Undergrad at Weber State University. I am rather an introvert and a homebody. Love my family. I am an amateur woodworker.
What do you wish you’d known when you graduated from medical school? I should have started working for the Federal Government through the VA right out of residency. They are fair in their dealings, generous in pay and benefits, and just want you to provide the best healthcare!
What keeps you passionate about family medicine? I have some pretty great Veterans I care for! They inspire me with their sacrifice. They help me have perspective in my medical practice – to provide empathy along side good medicine.
Where will we find you on your day off? Out in my workshop creating or upgrading a project. I love to get dirty with sawdust, glue, stain & epoxy!!!
What are you…
