University of Utah Student Representative – Tyler Drummond

Hometown: Red Deer Alberta, Canada
Best thing about Utah? The access to the outdoors
Favorite way to de-stress: Spending time with my family, Skiing, and mountain biking.
Fun fact about you: I worked in the Oil Field for 10 years after high school.
Why family medicine? I’m drawn to family medicine for its breadth and the long-lasting relationships it builds with patients. That fit is what pulls me toward rural and underserved medicine, where I can be a steady, trusted presence in the community I serve. That’s the kind of physician I want to be, and it’s the career I’m building toward.
