Member of the Week: Dr. Tiffany Ho
Practice: I’m currently an Assistant Professor at University of Utah Family Medicine Residency Program – one of two faculty who continues to practice full-spectrum family medicine (inpatient, outpatient and obstetrics). I also work with the School of Medicine as a Domain Expert in Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. My major passions are womxn’s health, LGBTQ+ care including gender affirming care, and providing medication assisted treatment for those with substance use disorders. Furthermore, I’m still trying to navigate my way to foster a stronger community for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) students as well as residents.

Residency: Swedish Cherry Hill Family Medicine Residency in Seattle, WA.
Any additional training or fellowships? Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
A bit about Dr. Ho: I’ve spent most of my life in California, including UCLA for undergraduate education. I jumped around the country to attend medical school in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins University then hopped over to Seattle for residency followed by Salt Lake City. My partner and I love to get outside and travel. We try to visit a new country (almost) every year with eyes that are way larger & hungrier than our stomachs.
What keeps you passionate about family medicine? The incredible scope of practice – while my schedule may be hectic at times as I juggle OB call with inpatient shifts and a busy clinic, I enjoy seeing people in all sorts of settings. Plus working with the residents pushes me to practice at the top of my license in regards to evidenced-based medicine. There’s always something learn.
What do you wish you’d known when you graduated from medical school? You don’t have to know what you want to be when you grow up, it’s an evolving process. Unexpected opportunities arise – make sure to keep an open mind and don’t hesitate to say ‘yes.’
Where will we find you on your day off? If I’m not climbing outside, I’ll be in the climbing gym or out in the mountains. Otherwise I’ll be in my backyard tending to our garden – if you have any recommendations on what to grow please let me know.
What are you…
