Dr. Gawron is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah and Gynecology Section Chief at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center. Her subspecialty training is in family planning and she has a clinical and research interest in complex contraception and reproductive planning for vulnerable populations, including women Veterans, homeless women and those with chronic health conditions.

  1. Discuss unintended pregnancy rates and associated risks
  2. Identify how to avoid missed opportunities for engagement
  3. Discuss safety and efficacy of contraceptive options
  4. Counsel on evidence-based contraceptive recommendations for medically complex cases
